Hi everyone! Dr. Meg here. I’m going to guide you step by step through turning your expander.
- First, you’ll want to tip your chin to the sky. In the middle of the expander, there is a little hole. That is where the key is going to go. Take your key in hand, and you will notice that there is a little line on it that will show you when you’ve gone far enough.
- Next, you’ll line it up with the hole in the expander and plug it inside of it. Then, you’ll push down and back. When you do that, a new hole will advance in the palate expander.
- At this point, you’ll want to take it our directly backward and lift it out of your mouth. It shouldn’t hurt, but just feel a little stretchy, and that’s it! You’re done! Watch the video above for a visual example. If you have any questions, just give us a call or come on by!
