What do you enjoy to do outside of work?
I RUN!! I love to run!
I love to travel and hike with my best friend (who happens to be my husband) and my other three besties – my kids. Together we love to explore and to cook and to EAT! I also LOVE teaching and learning with my students at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine.
How do you Mbrace Life?
Every morning when I wake up I think of all the things I’m grateful for!
Most mornings these include the family and friends who enrich my days and with whom I spend as much time with as possible. A strong second is my health and my love of running and exploring this amazingly beautiful corner of the world on foot. And lastly, I embrace life with the gratitude that every day brings new possibilities and another chance to live my life to the fullest.
Why are you passionate about orthodontics?
I am passionate about changing smiles and the self-confidence a beautiful smile builds.
Our smile is the first thing we have to offer the world and the best way to improve someone’s day. What a powerful gift! Our smile is our first communication tool and with a confident smile, we feel empowered. As an orthodontist, I get to work together with my patients and my team to transform smiles. Every step demands daily effort and support from each of us. I love being a part of the transformation that this teamwork brings. I love seeing the empowerment realized when a seemingly impossible task of renewing a smile is accomplished together! When you are a part of transforming your own smile you feel like anything is possible when you take it one step at a time.
What are three things you are grateful for?
Today?!
- The delicious salmon dish my husband cooked for dinner last night!
- That my family and two dogs, Gus and Dublin, always have my back and bring me so much happiness.
- This beautiful state we call home.
